Ive never had it, lucky me But DD1 (2 1/2) had a very red vagina a week ago and said it hurt to wee, i thought it was just casue she wasnt wipping properly, she is fully TT and does wees and wipes on her own. So i started helping and would wash her after every wee and out pawpaw cream on, it seemed to get better and she said it didnt hurt anymore and it was no longer red.
but now she says it still hurts a bit , its not so red , a tiny bit pink but has a fair bit of white stuff inside the labia. kinda like clumpy sticky stuff that does wipe off.
I really dont know what it is? she has no other symptoms, no temp etc. any help would be great TIA
I'm no expert, by any means, but I have had thrush, and it sounds similar.
You could try going to your pharmacist - they sell an anti-fungal nappy cream that you could use on your DD - I think you apply it every nappy change (so in your case I'd try applying it 3-4 times a day) until it is better, and then I think for a week after?
Has she been on antibiotics or anything recently?
Also, try increasing the natural yoghurts etc that she eats (if you can), or maybe the pharmacist can suggest a suitable probiotic for children?
