    keeping kids busy on flights

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for handheld games not the battery operated ones to keep kids busy during long haul flights - I'd appreciate some help on things I can take for the children aged 8 and 9 to keep them occupied.

    many thanks

Are they too old for activity books? My older son loves activity books.
Osbourne sells packs of cards called 50 things to do on a journey. I'm not sure what age they are suited to.
Battleships and cruisers? All you need is a few pieces of paper and some pencils.
