    Early Childhood Intervention?? Help??

DD's physio/occuptaional therapist wants to refer her onto the Early Childhood Intervention Services. I don't know anything about it, just wondering if anyone else does??
All that DD's OT says is that she's 'not yet met the requirements' to be refered on.

Can someone explain it all to me please??

Early intervention just helps bring them up to speed with intensive therapy so they can stay on track with milestones etc. It may be that your DD is a little too young yet or that she's not showing any signs yet of actually needing the help. THere is nothing to worry about though, it's not a bad thing to be referred on as she will get one on one specialist help if she needs it.

No worries. My niece acquired Cerebral palsy at birth and has been going to early intervention since she was 6 months old and it's been absolutely wonderful for her. The therapists are truly dedicated to what they do.
