    Question First pillow.

Is there a type of pillow that is better as a toddler's first pillow? There are so many different types of pillows nowadays I have no idea which to buy for DD. She's now 2 1/2 and still has never had a pillow. I'm wondering if there is a type of pillow that would be better for her development or maybe any pillow is as good as any other?

We got a Tontine kids first pillow given to us when we bought DS1 bed, but to be honest he never sleeps on it as he spins in circles and sleeps sides ways or upside down.

I think we got the kids first pillow too (from kmart). Its pretty flat and meant to be the "safest option". DD got hers when she was just under 2. It has stars on it if that helps (like the white cover over it... you can see white stars on it).

We got a toddler Cot pillow from kmart too as it's only very flat and doesn't hurt their neck.

A has the toddler pillow and loves it, she has 2 pillows on her bed but we remove 1 and she sleeps on the other.
She's hardly ever actually on it in the morning but i do find she likes to cuddle it

That's the other thing I've been wondering: Are pillows in fact not a good thing to have? Will it hurt her neck? Is it actually necessary? (I think too much about things... )

If she's happy to sleep without it then i don't see an issue with not having one, we found that A slept better with a pillow, she's had one for quite some time now.

Anyone have suggestions for a first pillow? My nephew is 15 months old, won't be using one quite yet, but I could love something small, reasonably priced, and natural.
