When I was little, mum had a hand imprint of our hands from pre-school, each finger painted a different colour. It had a poem written on the back.
For Mothers Day this year, I got a lovely bunch of "potted flowers" - Jensens hands drawn around, cut out and painted, stuck in to some playdough and into a cup. A little poem on the side (best mothers day present ever!) :
Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small and I leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls
This is part of the poem from my hand imprint. I loved that hand imprint and would love to see it again. More than that, i'd love to do one of the kids.
Where would I get the stuff to do it? It was a powder made into a mixture that I pressed my hand into while it was drying and it made my hand imprint.
( I know you can get your own casting powder and make your own "Twinkle Toes" type thing- I'd love to know where I can get that too. I'm keen to do a cast of DS and DD hands while they're little withou it costing a small fortune.)
And does anyone know the rest of the poem? I really reminds me that they are only little and only once. they grow up too fast.
