    Vibrating Fitness Machines

Has anyone had any success from one of these machines? they have always interested me but seem like a "too good to be true" kinda thing

I think you'd lose more weight with a different type of vibrating machine.

For some reason I'm thinking of an episode of Mad Men......

I really only ever used them in the 'warm down' mode. It was relaxing.

My sister bought one. She tells me it's good to help shake things through your body and assist with a bowel movement, but that's about it I imagine it would also be good for circulation but it's not going to help you lose weight.

Thanks ladies, guess hard work is going to be the only way. I was hoping it would help tone my flab.

I have seen these in the shopping centres and thought to myself how could these things possibly help you lose weight - usually if it sounds to good to be true - it is!

I saw you had looked inot a treadmill, not sure if you have got one yet but if you haven't you can hire then on a monthly basis - not sure of costs but maybe it's something you could look into. Unfortunately hard work, dedication and persistance is the only think that works - you can do this, have faith in yourself.

    Take care

I have one and yes you do lose weight using it regularly. I never get a chance to use it much these days though, but my older kids use it fairly often and you do break a slight sweat when using it for a while. When my hips or back hurt, I hop on there and they end up feeling better. I think if it was used along side other equipment it would be very good.

I asked about them at a gym equipment retailer, and they admitted that there's precious little benefit that you wouldn't get from standing on any surface, and that standing on a wobble board or walking at a slow pace would actually do more
