Hello. My bub woke up with a blood nose. There was quite a bit but not enough to worry IYKWIM. I get blood noses quite frequently in change of season so I do tend to be a bit blase (sp?) about them.
Anyway, DH put him in the shower with him this morning so he can clear his little nose. Some more came out but a lot of that with snot as well so it does seem like a sinus thing.
Has anyone else had this? We have had a heater on in his room and I was wondering if now, although his room is the right temp, it's also too dry!
Without sounding like a completely horrid mother - I really can't take a day off work today if it's something nothing to worry about (oh dear lord ... I sound awful). The childcare centre is at my work, so if he gets another today I can be with him in 5 minutes - he's literally in the same building. Aah, I redeem myself (just).
I don't reckon you sound irresponsible. If he's otherwise well I'd be sending him too. What causes your bleeding noses? I used to get them a lot as a kid too, all unexplained - I would just wake with blood dripping onto my pillow.
Might be worth seeing a GP about, but I wouldn't be staying home because of it.
My blood noses are from sinus related issues - they stepped up after something went "pop" (read: ouchy) on a plane trip. When I dropped him off he was happy to play so I didn't feel too guilty. Fingers' crossed I can get tomorrow off so we can both spend the day at home and chill!!
