We have to be out of our house by September 1. We live in a little beach side village, where I'll be lucky to find another rental at all, let alone one that will suit us.

I'm trying to decide if I should stick it out & hope for the best... move in with mum & dad if I have to (they are 40 minutes away anyway), just coz I'm worried about changing the kids schools etc, or bite the bullet & move away.

I fought to move here. We grew up in Central West NSW. I hated it & never wanted that for my kids. I like it here, the school is supportive of DD2's needs & they are both really happy here.

We could go back home...closer to the IL's. I'd be really picky about where we lived (for good reason) & even pickier about the school the kids would attend, which would more than likely mean a 30 minute bus trip at least if the local school wouldn't work.

Or we could sell up & go over to WA, where my brother & SIL are. Even just for 12 months. But thats not an easy thing to do with 4 kids. Specially when we don't know the area & have to worry about schools.

I've got a headache thinking about it... I don't know what to do...

i cant help much, sorry, hope you sort out whats right for you and the kids.
could your brother check out the local school so you had a full idea of your options?

Make a list of the pros and cons for each option, including financial issues with each. Let the list sit for a couple of days and then sit down again and look at it, you might change/add things.

Take the emotion out of it, you need to look at this as a financial/business solution, as well as looking into what is best for your kids (especially DD2).

I really don't know.
Here is good for the kids. They are all happy here, but we can afford to buy a house out there.
From what I can see, the positives & negatives all add up similar...
But I will write them down...
