When trying to avoid Wellington Road horrid traffic, went down to the Princes Highway (I think?) and there is, in between Blackburn & Springvale Roads, a brand new Ikea store being built!!!!!

I think it is aiming for a September opening last I heard on the Ikea facebook page...woohoo!!

It's so exciting! I drive past every Friday for work and check out the progress!! it's gigantic!! Will be a fabulous homemaker centre!! There will also be Clive peters and domaine. I can update you all each week if you like?? haha xox

my BIL is on the site doing all of the electrical stuff and apparently its just under a kilometer long and half a km wide! HUGE compared to the richmond one he rekons!

I miss the nunawading ikea, the Richmond one is too far away. Glad we are getting one closer.

Can I hate you all? Doubt we will ever get an Ikea down this way, even if they were interested our council will interfere so much they would change their minds.
