In the past I've just put up with jeans flapping at the waist and worn a belt and occasionally found a GOOD style but screw it, I'm getting old now, I want jeans that FIT. I had a pair of Versace jeans I got off ebay for $4 that were utterly fantastic (I just got them because they were $4) and now I go looking for them I can't find any for less than $200
So I went to JeansWest and they have a 'curve embracer' range which fit absolutely perfectly BUT... and this is a big but ... I still have a few kilos left to lose, and the 'curve embracer' style only goes down to size 7. I've only had these jeans a few weeks and they are already starting to get loose - $100 well spent to actually look good but I'll be lucky to get 3 or 4 months wear out of them. Then they're just going to end up in the back of my cupboard in case I get fat again, which judging by previous track record isn't going to happen anytime soon unless my metabolism shuts down as I get older.
Does anyone know offhand of any jeans manufacturers/styles that sell jeans for curvy people that actually come in small sizes? They all seem to assume that if you are skinny you have no bum and believe me, some of us out there have bums and don't want to have 4 inches of spare denim flapping around our waists to accommodate that bum, and then let the kids put large stuffed toys into the spare space in our waistbands.
I live in the country so don't really have the opportunity to drive 3 kids 200km and spend a day hauling them from one jeans shop to another, it would be lovely to know in advance.
I've never heard of Nobody ... I don't go to the city all that often and they certainly don't have them out this way - Jeanswest is my *only* local choice. Is that a Melbourne thing?
