    c section question

Hi there. I just was wondering something that i was hoping someone else would know. Due to my first baby being so big and getting stuck (LOL)and having to have an emergency c. My doctor has given me the options of both a vbac or c section.
I was just wondering if i have a c section and i book it in what happens??? Do they still induce me and i go through the labour or do they just take the baby???
I am only considering the c as i went through 14 hours of labour just to have a c anyways and im not fond of going through the same thing again. I want to get all my information before I make my decition

    Thanks

if you've booked a c section- you'll go in, they prep you and they take the baby. No labour, no induction. Just straight to the operating room.

hope that helped you make up your mind. :-)

    Hi there,

Im booked into have my elective c/section today! No labour, no induction, I just check into the hospital, get my room for after the operation settle in, anethetist comes to visit me and the midwives, fill in the forms, go to pre-theatre room with hubby, get given the spinal block and have the operation! then have the bubba in recovery with me (depends on which hospital you go to re their rules for this). Hope this helps! this is my 3rd c/section. First was emergency after 2 days of labour and baby getting stuck in pelvis, so 2nd was elective c/section and so is this one! I recovered so much faster from elective c/section no labour!

What kind of information are you after?
You won't have an induction either way, generally vbac is not compatible with induction.
How big was you first baby?
    What position was s/he in?

What the previous posters have written is true. Recovery from a cs is personal, you'd be be guided by what happened the first time around.
