    Nicknames

Finding a name for DS1 was hard enough. Now we're finding choosing another boy's name for DS2 really hard! We have ALMOST decided on the name Hayden for our son due in September. BUT, I can't think of what nickname we would use for him! I don't know why, but it really bothers me!

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    TIA

My little bro is Hayden and he gets h from me but scoob from my dad.
My girls don't really have nicknames based around their names.

You never really know what your bub is going to be called, nickname-wise.
DD is Hannah and we never really thought of a nickname for her before she was born.
She gets called Han, Hannie or Spanner.

My niece is annemiek (ah-na-meek) and she gets called, Miek, Freak or Freaky. Mostly Freak.

Nicknames don't have to be name based. I call my daughter bubblebum and possum (poss).

If you like the name, use it, you'll figure out a nickname in due course.

    Yeah that!

My DD gets blossom, possum, poppet, princess, baby girl and sweetie. DS gets little man, bubby, baby boy, loved one, little mister and x man (his name starts with an X).

My friend has a DS who is Hayden - he gets H and Haydoss mostly.

My twins are Bear and Kitten, not names I would have assigned to them based on their actual names but they just seemed to suit

Ds1 nicknamed ds2 beekeye. Started as baby cry coz he cried alot when he got home from the hospital and then he shortened it and it stuck. He is also known as beeks and beeks to the eye. My main concern was that he would be nicknamed willy, I never even considered that he would end up with a completely different name altogether!!

Great choice of name! My DS is Hayden. I don't really have a nickname for him but DH calls him "Haydos" sometimes.

Thanks for all of your replies!

I know you're all right - it doesn't matter. He'll get called all sorts of things

I'm not sure why it bothered me! I think we'll stick with it!

Im one that likes to add an "e" sound to the end of kids names nickname wise so i would call him "Haydy". As an adult my nickname for them would change to something more age appropriate but like i have Ebonee who is 11 and gets called ebby, lucca is 10 and gets called lukey, sapphire is 8 and gets saffy, serenitee gets rennie and chardonnay gets chardy, my other 2 dont have "e" sounding nicknames.
