Confused about whats ok when it comes to photos?

I have a few people on my facebook that have had late losses and babies born sleeping. They are often in my thoughts and sometimes I look through their pics as I do with other friends, but I'm always worried about commenting on those pics. Is it ok? I often find myself writing something then deleting it because I feel like its wrong for me to do it? I mean months, years after the pics have first been posted, ones I've already commented on. Is something like "still loving this one, he/she is gorgeous" appropriate?

It's so confusing and I don't want to upset anyone but I also want to let them know that I care, they matter and so do their babies.

I think it is important to acknowledge the baby. Regardless of how long it has been kwim?

Hmmm I think it depends on the closeness of your relationship. I love it when my BB friends and a few others comment on photo's when I have them displayed at a certain time of year. I have photo's in one section only and there are about 50+ to go through before you see the special ones.

I think it would be fine to write something like that, you don't know how a person will react, they could be fine or they could be having a hard day and it might trigger something. Thats not your fault and you're not meant to know how the OP is feeling. Even though its been 3 years I can still find myself blubbering because of a little comment or something.

If you feel like doing it then I say do it, at least the OP will know you come from a place of love x

You can never tell a mother too many times how beautiful her children are. It always means alot to me to know people are thinking of my sons too. It makes me feel less alone in my grief and that their short lives are still meaningful to others.

I think people like to know that even though the world moves on, their babies are never forgotten.
I still send a message to a high school friend about her princess who only got to be with us for 6 days, every birthday & anniversary. That was 11 years ago last week.

totallty appropriate. they're still our babies, and we still want to show them off, and we still want people to adore them. that's how i feel anyway. i think if you comment on the pic, the person who's baby it is will feel very acknowledged and loved. Like Clover said, everyone seems to move on and it's nice to know that our babies are still remembered.
