Hi,
I have a five year old son and am trying to decide on a school for him to start Kindergarten. I have a 11 y.o. who has had his own journey through our education system. He started at a Steiner school for the first few years and then moved to a local public school. I find Steiner does not offer adequate academic stimulation and also most families don't really adhere to the principles in their lifestyle choices, and it tends to become more of a label than a path one has chosen. You live one way within the school and another outside.
Now I have to choose a school for my son. Public school, Steiner or John colet. I think I am pretty sure steiner is out of the equation. So it is down to John Colet versus public school. Public schools are what they are, we would have to make sure he gets a lot of input from us. I was wondering if there is anyone who can give an idea what it would be like at JCS and why it would be a good choice.
Also, if anyone reading this would have any input on Killarney Heights P.S. and their French programme. Does it work well.
Any insight on the above topics would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thanks.
