Does anyone know if you haven't started being paid the Paid Parental Leave and you elect to switch to the baby bonus? And can you work whilst getting the Baby Bonus? (I think you can but not 100% sure).
The reason for my question is a really exciting opportunity has come up and I'm exploring the idea of returning to work earlier than I planned. My paid mat leave from work runs at the end of the month and I elected to start the Paid PArental leave in September but I know you can't work whilst you are being paid that.
I probably won't get the job but thought I'd throw the question out there anyway.

BG while we're on the topic of BB and PL ... can it [pl] be switched??? For my Mental Health I intend to go back to part time (2ish days) work from home (but still very much paid work) after probably 6-8 weeks... but DH would love to take the leave.
So, for that to work would he need to take it from the start or can i have it for 8 weeks and he have it for the rest, does that make sense?
i have looked for an answer but its all confusing and jibberish lol.
provided he met the requirements work wise, and becomes the primary carer (so you're working and he isn't working at all) it should be able to be transferred. i'm still a little bit hazy with that one as i only had the training (90 mins instead of 9 hours) during the week so i'm a bit overloaded and confuzzled sorry!

Cooool, he is undecided about what to do... so am I.
Taking the leave to then cut it short seems financially stupid (in my head at least) but he doesn't know if he will want to take it (dependent on job position)
But then if i take the BB and he does want the leave it will be too late. *sigh*
