pea sized lumps on the back of childs head??

anyone's children has these before?? ive never noticed them before ten again ive never really felt for them, i think DD has a virus atm as she has had a temp for the past day, so that could be the cause, just after other opinions

    Could they be glands?

DD has one at the moment, near her jawline, moves around and feels like a pea. She's been sick with a horrible cold too, so I'm not too concerned. I've read that they're common in toddlers when their immune system is fighting something. But if it stays there after she's well, I'll be off to the GP.

They could just be lymph nodes. DD has one that didn't form properly, at the base of her neck in the hollow near her collar bone. It freaked me right out. We went to RCH for an ultrasound and that's what it ended up being.

My DD had a few of these. The GP had no idea what it was but said that as long as they are mobile, he wasn't concerned. Then I think someone on here posted about it and someone said that there's a bit about it in the Robin Barker 'Babylove' book that said that this is really common in babies an toddlers and completely harmless. Always worth double checking these things with a GP of course.
I think DD had 3 or so. Only one remains and it's barely there now.
