Bleeding after a D&C

I had a D&C today after 3 weeks of bleeding after a m/c. They said I would only get a bit of spotting after but I have been bleeding just the same. I'm going through as many pads and the blood seems darker (red not brown) than before. I phoned them and they said it could be normal. So has anyone else had this? I thought I was supposed to stop bleeding now not carry on.

Hi Miss H - firstly, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a d&c with a laparoscopy a few weeks ago and bled red blood for a couple of days after. I was surprised at the amount, but like you was told it was normal. It should taper off soon, but stay in touch with your health professionals if you're concerned or start feeling weak/dizzy.
