Red face BFA - Big Foot's Anonymous :)

I know there are other BB'ers out there with big feet, i know there was a thread about it previously but i can't seem to find it.

So who is joining me here at BFA?

My Name is ~ Zarava Flutterby ~ and i have big feet... size 11-12 (more 12 ).

I used to be able to get away with a size 11 runner but lately i can't, have been trying on pair after pair to no avail.
I'm lucky to find an 11 and no-one stocks 12's around here

Have a friend who might be able to get me some size 12's but it's hard without trying them on... so who's with me.. and what are a list of comfortable, decently priced perfectly sized shoes?

    Not really anon. in here, are we? I'm a UK 9, which is usually a European 43 and possibly an Aussie 10. I was a UK10 pre-op, now I'm a 9.

I must confess, I have two places where I can get shoes. One shop whose size 8s are ridiculously generous and one high-street shop's on-line ordering. They usually fit pretty well, so I'm fortunate.

Growing up, I got "have you seen our men's selection?" a lot. Last time it happened was in my parents' local town and DH bodily removed me from the store before I hurt someone. Men's shoes and high heels from age 7 is what caused all the damage to my feet in the first place!

We are still kind of anonymous.. using usernames and all
I get the mens comments, but would you believe i asked for mens 10's the other day and they had NONE.. WTF are you serious, no womens 12's and no mens 10's for me either

I'm a little big foot - I have 9.5's to 10s BUT I had a mutant big toe which is a whole cm longer than the next toe, so I'm in a world of shoe pain. Plus I have hairy feet so I think that deserves a special membership category in BFAs.

I thought taking tweezers to the feet and hands were normal MD, so don't worry.

ZF, this is why I have just one large box of shoes at home. I find so few I like in my size that don't hurt my feet. Now I have to find a pair for my sister's wedding as I have no sandals and my two pairs of ballarina-style shoes don't suit the dress.

Hmm membership could be funky shoelaces... but then we'd need to find big enough shoes to put them in

Bootlaces, my dear, bootlaces. As if my shoes are small enough for regular shoelaces!

How tall are you all though? I am just over 5ft and have a ladies size eight & wide, so rarely do I find shows that fit comfortably... If you are tall, I can understand having longer feet

I am 5'11" which does explain why i have such large feet but doesn't explain why i can't find shoes
I honestly have mens feet, long and wide

Hi, my name's Ree*Ree and I hover between a wide ladies 9 and 10. I am also cursed with a bit of a bunion.
I am a bit of a clutz with my feet, always knocking them into things!
Oh, and I am in no way tall! I think I'm 156cm?

Me too me too me too!!!!

I'm 5ft 11in and wear a ladies size 12. Which is darn near impossible to get in Perth with the exception of one completely AWESOME shop called Benelli Shoes. They do sizes 3-13 and even do custom fits. Oh and for BFA's not in Perth - they do mail order.

It has been getting better, with a few companies like Diana Ferrari starting to stock 12's now, but you have to get in quick before they sell out.

I've only just realized for years I've been squashing into 11s when I should have been going for 12s.
Walking us so bad in dodgy shoes, the 11s rub and I just don't notice, no wonder I have sore feet

Ok so I'm only a size 8 but my feet are so wide I can't fit size 8! Can I get an award, or should I be in wide foot anonymous!

    I'm 6ft & i'm a size 9 so i guess i don't really have big feet considering how tall i am.
My Mum was 5'2 & had to wear size 10-11.
DD1 is also going to have big feet.

YAY.. woo hoo for not being alone.

I often wonder about my girls, they are both quite petite and their feet look biggish but i think they are average for their ages.
I was actually quite short with smallish feet until year 11, my cousin jinxed me and said i would never have to worry about buying shoes and now i have just as much trouble as she does.

So where do you lovely ladies find your shoes?

My girls are nothing a like.
DD1 is really tall for her age with wide feet, so we often need to go to a shoe shop & get her fitted properly.
DD2 is average height & has tiny feet & with have no trouble buying shoes anywhere for her.

As for me, i can buy my shoes anywhere as well but my Mum always needed to go to a shoe shop to buy shoes.
She had really flat feet which didn't help when buying shoes.

Oh please add me I have size 10 feet and it's so hard to find shoes that fit and are comfortable. I guess being 6'1" dosn't help either, I look like a giraffe in high heels Which really sucks. Oh to be able to wear heels
