Today I join the second trimester forum! We've made it through the 3 months of keeping the pregnancy hush hush until we got out of the 'danger zone'. I am very excited to be going to my first midwives appointment tomorrow and getting my second scan on thursday! We get to see our bubba for a second time! I will be 12w5d (thurs)and I am going to sus it out whether the sonographer can see the sex of our baby (fingers crossed- otherwise I will be waiting a few more weeks).
Everything has pretty much been smooth sailing for me- I have had minimal m/s and only been physically sick once! I am feeling good!
Just thought I'd update my 'status', and express my happiness.

Con grats on nearing the second tri (starts week 14 )- Finding out the sex of your baby happens at the 18-20 weeks scan as baby genitals are not usually formed until week 16-17. Some times you can ask but most of the time a sonographer will tell you its too early ... though in saying that some do take a guess but I would not be rushing out and buying colours pink or blue until after the 20 week scan.

so if your planning neurtal colours anyway it won't matter LOL
