Tummy went rock hard, felt like I had a tennis ball in there..

I've had my tummy harden for a minute or so and then go away and I spoke to my OB at my last appt and he said the uterus contracts and it's nothing to worry about.

but tonight I felt it harden in one spot and it felt quite hard and round, like a tennis ball was under my tum.

what was going on? any ideas? is this normal? it scared me. It went away after a couple of minutes. I'll be on the phone to the OB's rooms tomorrow to talk to one of the nurses but until then thought I'd come here .

Could it have been Braxton contractions??? Or maybe now the bubs is bigger it could be pushing on one spot making it feel hard. As long as there is no pain I would not be too worried. Good luck.

It sounds like braxton hicks. The round lump could have been because of the way your baby is lying in the womb. It won't hurt to speak to your OB or a midwife but in the absence of bleeding or pain then it sounds like normal BH's.

I was going to suggest the same. My BH have been like that.

I'd say it was either BH or bub, Bub more so if the rest of the area was soft, BH if it was your entire area nothing to worry about x

I have spots that go hard on my tummy its the babies head, bum or back pressing against me. I normally give it a poke and baby moves away.
