Light some (read plenty) candles and wipe out with vanilla. Over night fill a basin with water and leave on the bench then tip out.
If it is that bad ring your insurance company and see if it is a write off.
My 17 year old apparently had a brain snap today and thought it was ok to cook noodles in a saucepan in the microwave!!!!!
He had it going for over a minute before I noticed, form the other room, smoke pouring out of the kitchen.
So the whole house filled with the horrible smelling smoke. On a winters day I might add! I've had everything opened up since, with the heater goingThe house still smells.
The microwave, I'm wiping out then going to put bicarb in there to see if it helps. I just put a bowl of water in for 1min to make it easier to wipe out (he exploded some pasta sauce in there the other day that I hadn't gotten to yet) and when it was going the smell was even worse!
Do you think it's still even safe to use? Would it have done damage of some sort??
Any tips on helping to get the smell out of EVERYTHING would be much appreciated too![]()

I hope you can save it.
I don't know what your money situation is, but (hope I don't offend!!) microwaves are only $49 in Kmart at the moment.
Well I guess he can go buy you a new one. He at least should be the one to clean out the old one.
