Mr Moo had a very tough weekend. Barely any sleep Saturday or Sunday night, just woke crying over and over. Barely ate on Saturday and didn't eat a thing Sunday. He never had a temp but his body was very hot, which was odd. He cried and sooked and was generally very unhappy. Nurofen didn't make any difference. Last night I gave him Painstop which made him a bit happier but he still woke crying all night.
Made an appt with his GP first thing this morning, it's not till 4:30pm. But now he's eating and seems more like his normal self. I'm happy but don't know whether to keep the appt or just take him to get checked out anyway?
Oh and please excuse the spelling in the title - I'm a wee bit tired after all this
I'd take him anywya, you never know what it might be, if it's an ear infection or something, then you may need AB's to get rid of it. Hope he's better and back to normal for you!
Thanks girls, I'd feel better to have him seen so I'll take him. Last time I went we saw someone different, I felt like I was wasting his time as it ended up just being a cold. The doctor was all 'there's nothing wrong with him!'
I agree with the others... DS had a temp and was unwell on the Tues and I couldn't get an appt until the following monday by then he seemed fine but turned out to be an middle ear infection.
Worse case scenario it won't be anything but you can never waste a dr's time where kids are concerned IMO
What kelebek said about kids is so true. I've had GP's tell me that any kid under 5 who is unwell should be checked out and it's never a waste of their time, even if only to confirm they are fine/ok/only mildly unwell.
I hope it does turn out to have passed and he is on the mend.
He's woken up from a short sleep very irritable and clingy - definitely something going on with him. Glad I kept the appt!
Yeah I agree that kids should be seen. His usual GP is great, he often wants to see him again just to check, say on a Friday as there is no clinic here open on weekends. I think the one I saw last just made me doubt myself ITMS.
I hope it's on it's way out, we both need a nights sleep
The fact that you had to give him PAINSTOP, which is Alot stronger than panadol etc I would definately be taking him. PainStop was given to my DS after surgery.....
