    Sometimes a waste of money....

Is just what you need to remind yourself that 'you' are your own intuition are far more accurate than paying $20 to listen to a woman 'interpret' cards for you. She had no idea about anything really and I could have done the reading myself. She told me she was actually a clairvoyant which clearly wasn't the case. And strangely this morning I called another lady who was referred by a friend so I know she is the real deal BUT the phone conversation was really weird I made an appointment and then she changed the time and assumed that was ok with me. I told her that time was not ok and she was really quick to get me off the phone as there was someone at her door. She didn't say the previous time was ok and didn't say I should call back or anything! I only just had enough time to tell her that I won't be coming at 12 as that is not going to work for me than she said ok and hung up WTF?!? I think the universe was telling me something right there lol Then I had a 20 min reading (as in she looked at the cards and told me what they represented) for $20 from a shop when I went into town. And to make matters worse I also paid $35 online for a phone reading which I am yet to have from another lady who again a friend saw a month ago and said was really lovely and gave her a fantastic accurate reading. Let's hope that one sheds some light on things for me

SO that leads me to ask the following question, how come a channeller or clairvoyant need cards anyway? I read years ago that there are gypsy symbols in them that activate the 3rd eye or something? Does anyone know?

The best reading I had done while was in townsville she was SPOT ON!

I paid to have it recorded and I'm soooooooo glad I did, still get shivers listening to it because everything she said came true. Right down to me having DD.

And that lady was really really rude.

They use cards because your energy in supposed to be channelled into them when you shuffle them. ( A real tarot reader wont touch the cards after you, other than to turn them over) .....

I dont know how a reading could be 'real' or accurate over the phone as your energy cant travel through the phone to them in any way and they certainly cant read your aura or anything....so Id say stay away from those 'psychics'......

My mum goes to one often and she is spot on...(in sydney) and tapes it for you....

skybie hello my friend I still think of all the time, how are you holding up? Did the lady you saw say anything to you about your sweet little Jack?

toomanyshoes that is awesome when they are spot on I've have a few readings over the years and one 2 of them have really been any good!

Mum2Romone I think your energy totally extends the universe so over the phone readings should be fine My guides can speak to her guides etc without me having to be there at all if that makes any sense? My friend saw her (face to face) and she was very detaild about a few things that there is no way she could have guessed so I guess the proof will be in the pudding when I speak to her tomorrow.

I will drop in for an update and let you girls know how I got on

There was a lady on another forum that did readings via the forum - people would post their questions and she would do a reading for them - she was accurate...

I have always had readings face to face and most have been accurate (I am waiting on the last reading for a few things to eventuate though)

Sorry that lady was really rude to you and strange

Mumma Nurse I would be interested in having a reading done via internet, I live so country it is hard to get them. Must say my last reading wasn't accurate said bubs would be a girl but its a boy. Not that I'm too disapointed I did get the sense that she wasn't sure on what she was seeing, I think the girl she saw in a pram was perhaps my first baby that I miscarried at 13 weeks.

I have had several readings recently (one was planned another was not) done via the Net .. no card touching by me both were extremely accurate and more so than some face to face ones I have had over the years. There is NO NEED to avoid Net/Email/Phone readings but like anything, there is not a "one size fits all" approach with mediums and such.

I have had 2 readings from the same person and the first was accurate the second left me wondering why I bothered.

If you want to know who my latest readings were from PM me and I will happily pass on their details hun x x x

There are so many tarot decks around, oracle decks and some people read a plain set of playing cards (no gypsy symbols on them). One of the best readers in Tassie would use cards combined with crystals for a reading. Different people facilitate readings in different ways. Some need to just touch you or a piece of jewellery to get reading. Cards a great visual representation and can help the person having the reading done "See" what is being said (to an extent). As for the touching thing of the cards, I suppose that is up to each readers beliefs in they way they want their cards managed, readings can be done just find with only the reader touching the cards.

So I'm back for my update, I thought the lady I had my phone reading with was lovely but she didn't really tell me anything to 'qualify' herself if that makes sense. I did hang up feeling really positive which was great and she did remind me that I can really manifest anything that I choose which was empowering and refreshing for a reader to give back the responsibility to the client! I already know that I am creating my life and I'm the best manifester that I know if I do say so myself (where's the trumpet blowing smiley) But I like going to readings to see what path I am on and the possible outcomes so that I can make changes if need be. In this case I was mainly wanting to know if selling our house now was a good idea and she was really positive about that regardless of everyone else saying that now isn't the best time to sell. Both dh and I think differently to most people and we think it's perfectly the BEST time to sell so I'm happy she has helped me let go a bit of the emotional connection we have to this home and I am now prepared on that level to move on. Which is very important as we would have never sold the house if I wasn't really ready!! Then of course I wanted to know about having another baby. She said this year I need to line my ducks up in a row, which I think was maybe the most qualifying thing she said (other than a comment about ds). This year we are moving by the looks of things and there are a few health things I need to get sorted. I asked if it was a boy or girl and she said she sees blue. We want a girl next time and are going to be swaying for a girl. She said that when the 2nd bub is 4 we will think about another baby and she couldn't see beyond that? Again putting the power back in my hands she said that if we really want a girl to put out for that and there may be a reason why we have a boy instead of a girl and I should have a look at that. I already know the I fell somewhat weird about having a daughter (even though dh and I really want a girl). This is because I have a weird relationship with my mum. I had felt for years and years and years that I only wanted a boy or 2 boys, it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I started to feel like I could have a daughter. So hey maybe this part of the reading has shown me that I need to do some work around my relationship with my mum otherwise my soul will manifest a boy again! The other thing she said was that every time she thinks of ds shes hears music and that is his gift. Well he is only 10 months old and he has his own kids drum kit, guitar and keyboard and he loves them! AND he plays them all the time and the drums would be what he likes the best so she was spot on there I think too.

Anyway that's about it, I hope everything works out for us though, big changes ahead. Gosh life can just throw you a curveball sometimes!
