Completely! Hamish did the same thing and then the next nappy was soaked. It's kinda like us, it's not till we wake up that we realize we need to go to the toilet.
The last three nights, DD has really stretched out her first sleep of the night, to 6 hours. I'm fine with that, she doesn't seem to need to wake up sooner than that. I usually feed her, then she falls asleep and drops off so I change her nappy to wake her up and feed again.
But, these last three nights the nappy has been completely dry. It's wet when she wakes up 3-4 hours later, and there are lots of wet nappies during the day, but her being dry for so long at night has me completely baffled!!
Just wondering if this is normal?

Thanks heaps Tara & SterlaI didn't realise they could 'hang on' to it, I thought it kinda just 'fell out' if there was any there lol

DD has been known to do it too. Just be on the watch out if the urine is brown tinged or really yellow that can be a sign of dehydration. Thats happened to DD a few times one time resulting in a hospital visit and a drip because she wouldnt drink anything.
Thanks LMS, I'll watch out for thatAll good so far, and I don't think she's getting dehydrated based on the number of wet nappies after and during the day. The next one after that is always totally soaked lol.
