We already have our boys name picked out because both first and middle are being named after someone. As for the girl we can not agree. If it is a girl her name will be Violet. DH wants to have Marie as her middle name after his mother, but his mother treats me like crap and I dont feel like naming my child after her. Plus, my moms middle name is Marie and it was tradition to pass it down to her first born (my sister) so I don't want to take something special from them as well. I only have a couple ideas but would LOVE some more as well
when it comes to names anything that we 'should' or shouldn't do will not help find the best name for this individual. So if it fits that she has Marie then go with it not for his mum and not 'not' having it because of your family tradition. If it is the best name for her then go for it.

I like violet May very much. I do keep thinking it could be good to have it starting with an M. My intention wasn't trying to talk you into naming it after her, just the gesture of choosing the right name for your baby. I have a MIL that can be pretty horrible at time so I get where you are coming from. I hope I didn't offend you in how I was trying to get my point across.
