    Tax time

Just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it's taking to get tax returns back at the moment?

ATO have issued a statement to Tax Agents saying 94% they expect to be processed in 14 days or less. It really does vary a lot, but if there's no cross-referencing, fee from refunds, or other government agencies involved, they're much more on the ball this year.

I thought it was 2-3 weeks from time of lodgement? But that's what it said on the website... Would be interesting to know how long it was actually taking.. I want my $$$!!

Did those of you who used etax use the prefilling option? I'm finding 70% of my details aren't available...

My tax agent lodged it on-line during our consultation this week, would be nice to get the money this coming week, it is paying for plane tickets to Bali.

Lodged last Sunday night and by Thursday CCB/CCR was in the account, very suprised as I expected that to come after my actual tax return. Not complaining though, as it came just in time for some shopping.

FIL got his back in about 2 weeks.

we normally get ours back within 1-2 weeks too.

    GL!

I've finished ours, but are leaving them for a week or so before submitting, in case we remember anything else ...

I used e-tax, and did both the prefill and the rollover, but we found small bits from each didn't come through, or came in twice (once from each) but it was still loads quicker than the old paper forms!

It took a week for me to get mine back, lodged on 25 July, in my bank account when I checked this morning (and promptly used to pay for flights to Bali).
