I'm amazed at how different my sons are

DS2 is 7 weeks old now. Every day he manages to surprise me with how different he is from his older brother.

DS1 was a shocking sleeper. It was like at 5 weeks he woke up and he never really went back to sleep again. He didn't sleep longer than 40 mins at a time during the day until he was around 8 months. We settled him to sleep in our arms until he was around 15 months.

DS2 on the other hand is a completely different kettle of fish. I put him down in his bassinet and he just goes to sleep. Just like that. It's a freaking miracle. DS1 only started doing that a month ago! He doesn't cry a great deal and is a pretty chilled little guy. He's only waking once overnight for a feed and then he will generally go straight back to sleep.

I just find it so strange that my mothering experiences are so different! I keep waiting for DS2 to turn into a feral like his brother was. But every day he just keeps having long sleeps, a bit of wind and a few tears but nothing major. It's so bizarre.

My DDs are so different aswell, I was expecting them to be the same...they couldnt be more different. DD1 is the good sleeper and is quiet shy, DD2 is a shocking sleeper and is the life of the party. They look really different too
