Aw Cass that's sooooo cute. I too looooooooved classical music (and lots of prancing about) as a wee one, was desperate to be a ballerina, but Mother Dearest copped out and signed me up for calisthenics instead. Which, when you are 5, consists mostly of walking around in a straight line and not much else. Oh how my life could've been different... LOL. So yeah, hang in there with the REAL dancing and steer miles clear of the calisthenics if you can! I hope M is better soon too. xxx

Cally, wow, **** has hit the fan (at work)? Just going to show that a poo in the pipe is worth two in the bush...?

    Lol MD

Cass L looks adorable all dressed up for dancing. I hope the snot monster leaves your place soon, we have been fairly lucky this winter (compared to last winter anyway).

Trill good luck at placement, I am sure your going to do great. Are you excited, nervous, a little of each?

Arte how has your pregnancy been? Not that much longer left for you.

Not much happening here, same stuff different day really. I am pretty much booked solid for the remainder of the year now which is great. I only work every second weekend when DH is home which is a great way to make sure I don't end up taking on to much.

Cally, sorry you had a ***** week! Hope this one is much better for you.

Oz, pregnancy is going fine. So never doing this again though - gets more uncomfortable each time!

    Trill, good luck for tomorrow!

Cass, hope M is better soon. A tends to get a booger nose but it never progresses to anything more thankfully. There was measles at kindy a few weeks ago and I fully expected them to get hit with a dose but they managed to avoid it.

    MD, just saying hi xx

Well, yesterday might have been the best day we have had in ages!! We drove two hours to the city to drop MIL off at the airport. Kids travelled really well, drop off without any tears, A slept in the car while we had a nice brunch. DH took them to the science center while I went to spotlight - walked in the door to see the Toy Story party stuff I wanted, then got the curtains I wanted for 50% off!! Saved about $150!! Carried on and picked up DH's ebay purchase, didn't get lost coming or going. Went to mums house, had a nice visit, found out she has just won a pretty good amount on Lotto and she gave us a random 2K!. Went back to the city and let the kids play at an indoor play center for a bit, then we pushed our luck and went out to a restaurant for dinner - and it worked!! Then W slept on the way home and A stayed up watching the DVD so she went to bed nicely when we got back home at 9pm. A even slept straight until 3am - I felt like a million bucks getting 5 hours of sleep in one hit, so much that I managed to do the 4am get up for the day and let DH sleep in for once which is nice because I am feeling guilty that he always does the early morning shift.

And as much as I deny that I get the pregnancy nesting thing, today I rampaged through all the stored stuff in the sleep out and chucked out a heap of stuff we will never use - so liberating! We have decided what room the baby is having and now I am powering through shifting all the office stuff away so that I can set up. Just need to hem up the new curtains and clean the carpet and I can move the furniture in here - which will get all the baby stuff out of Amelia's wardrobe - it is like a domino effect of organization!!

Arte, wow sounds like a fantastic day has refuelled your tanks, at least for a few days! Well done on the curtain bargain, to be commeneded!

Oz, that's great news that you're booked, sounds like a good pace of work for you.

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend. We pretty much stayed at home and did nothing, except for getting registered for Pottermore, which I'm pretty pleased about! Potter fever has really hit this household, DH and DD are reading the books, and DD's teacher has whipped the whole class into a lather of excitement at school. I'm cheering big time because for the first time in her life DD has finally grasped that the more solidly you read, the more enjoyable the book is! I hope this means she'll want to sink her teeth into some chunkier books now. In the meantime I'm reading slower than everyone else and there's a queue forming behind me for the one I'm currently reading LOL.

MD, what is Pottermore? I am glad H has discovered the joy of reading! I just about choked a year or so back when I realized my cousin had never read a book for pleasure - she has only read the few that we were forced to read for high school English. I can't even imagine it!

Ginger, we got a macbook pro laptop a few months back and she is a smooth machine! I love it! And now I can be on the computer when the kids are playing in the lounge instead of sneaking away to the desktop.
Random 2k is most likely going on the credit card Not exciting, but it has to be paid some time I guess.

Well I obviously love Zoe lol (we had Erin on our list too so you have a great taste ). I'm not a fan of the spelling with a Y though, it's to American for me.

LOL, I figured Oz and Trill would cancel each other out for name votes.

I am tending towards Zoey atm and William is certain that is what she is going to be called but DH is a bit slow to come to the party! I think it goes nicely with the other names and with our surname too.

I like Zoe too - I havent seen it spelt with a Y before... (if it is pronounced the same, i guess thats just personal choice)
Erin is nice too - both go beautifully with W and A.

Arte, both lovely, I also like that other name. (you've still got a few weeks to talk DH round ). My DH had never read a book for pleasure when I met him either. How long do you think it took me to change that? LOL Now he reads more fiction than I do (although I have noticed his reading enthusiasm is generally higher when the book involves sexy vampires - pmsl)!

MP, good to see you. New nanny = sweet. Trip to Sydney = PAVLOVA-level sweet!

Gingey - yay for your noo compooter! I love my fuschialicious with the same passion (or more) than I did the day she came into my life. Is yours a pretty colour or did you go for the usual ****y apple white?

Pottermore is this new website that JKR is launching, with all her books transmogrified into online content, with 3D player walkthroughs, games, new content etc. Basically it's a relaunch of her original series done to capture the new digi gen (although I suspect most of its early users will be a bunch of 20+ Harry Potter diehard fans). Anyway the site goes live at Halloween, but this week there are limited registrations to get into the beta version. I'm curious because this is potentially the future of publishing for the children/YA genre, so, right up my Diagon alley, so to speak.
