Just before Labour started ... how did you feel?

How did you feel in the days/hours before labour started?

    Did you nest like crazy?
    Did you throw up?
Did you feel certain pains or cramps?
Did you have your show long before labour?
    Did you feel any different?

With DS I had a posterior labour and it started after I had my show in the morning.. and labour gradually built up...

This bub isnt posterior so Im wondering if labour will be much different. With DS the pain was mainly in my back with my belly tightening every now and then becoming hard...

Now I have massive pain/stabbing..baby pinching me or something down really low.... Just wondering if this is prelabour ?

    Any answers will be helpful

In the days leading up i had a burst of energy. I cleaned my house like crazy. I was having BH all day everyday. But the night before my waters broke i was very tired which was odd when i wasnt able to sleep the last couple of weeks. I was achey with BH on and off. I couldn't get comfy at all.

The week before I had oodles of energy, done heaps of cleaning. The day of my due date I started losing my plug & 1 day over I started having my show. Over those two days I also got super sharp pains deep inside around my cervix that shot up into my belly. They were quite painful, I'd have to stop & grit through them. They were super random though. Then on my 2nd day over, on one of my usual early morning loo trips, I had a massive show. Then contractions started an hour later. Until my contractions started, I felt completely normal though. Slept brilliantly the night before I went into labour, which was good for the 25 hour labour I had lol

The night before I had DS2 I had lots of twinges and cramp like sensations. Don't remember much about DS1 because I didn't know what to look out for as a sign labour was imminent.
I didn't vomit or nest though - that I do remember.

The night before I went to bed early (never normally do!) but my boy was also positeria and labor started naturally the next morning with my waters breaking. I only ever had back pain

I was really emotional the day before I went into labour and cried at silly things. I scrubbed the laundry floor tiles like a mad woman too Other than that, I felt pretty normal to be honest. I had no idea inkling at all DD would arrive the following day. I didn't lose my plug (well, I didn't witness losing it), there was no show until I was well into my labour (9cm dilated to be precise) and no niggles whatsoever. The only niggles I had were contractions 10 minutes apart from 6am the following morning until my waters broke at 7.20ish then it was on for young and old

    Good luck!

With DD I just felt sick.. Like I was going to throw up. Then I kneeled over my bed and my waters broke with a loud crack!
With DS I felt very calm. I had been having pre labour for weeks (five to be exact, he was 2 weeks post dates) and I had been very frustrated for a long time. The day I went into labour I woke feeling calm, relaxed and happy. Labour started a few hours later.
With this bub i have decided to stop looking for signs! I have been losing plug since 28 weeks and so far it's meant nothing! I'm just going to assume he'll be at least 2 weeks over and if he comes sooner it's a bonus!

I had prelabour for 2 weeks But on THE DAY I woke at about 4 with back pain that went 'around' my body instead of 'down' if that makes any sense?? DS was posterior, so, as you probably experienced, I really knew I was in labour after a couple of hours

The night before my waters broke I had no BH, no cramps, nothing but I couldn't sleep. I had a sudden burst of energy and was awake all night. My waters broke the next morning. I had BH for the few weeks leading up but then the few days before hand I didn't have any but I had loads of sharp stabbing cervix pains, like bubs head was rubbing on my cervix.

This probably isn't going to help you but I had barely any signs Well I did have a bloody show that morning but then nothing until that night when I suddenly started having regular contractions. I was so upset that whole day because I felt like the baby wasn't ever going to come!

I just remember feeling sick during the afternoon... something was just not right (this may or may not have been due to being whacked in the tummy by friends child :S) and then getting very mild crampy period type pains in the evening.
I didn't nest at all, but funnily enough, DP nested like crazy the day before labour started!! He also was lying awake at 2:45am and couldn't work out why (we're both awesome sleepers and for him to be awake was odd)... I woke up 15 minutes later with contractions.... He did seem to get a lot of pregnancy symptoms, so maybe I should be asking him to answer this!!

With DD I remember being hot, tired and cranky! My sister, who was staying with us, had her MIL over to visit and it seemed that she just. wouldn't. leave!! DH & snuck off to our room for a quiet lay-down when it looked like S'sMIL was going to stay FOREVER. We were laying on the bed just quietly talking when it felt like DD gave me the biggest ouchiest kick....but it was my waters breaking with a big pop. For a heavily pregnant lady, I moved from the bed to the ensuite pretty damn quick!

This time....well...are you sure I'm EVER going to go into labour??

The day of labour with DD3... emotional! We took a friends DD with us fishing & fights over car seats broke out. I started crying coz if I couldn't handle them how the heck am I gonna do 4 kids of my own full time?

My nesting settled right down in the few days before. It was the weeks leading up to it I didn't stop. That last week I was more relaxed.

I lost my plug with DD1, but nothing to show labour was close with the others at all.

The only other thing I can say is that they are all different. So very different.

Irritable and unsettled. Kind of fidgety Of course it was hindsight that helped me to realise that I was like that because of being so close to going into labour, but at the time I didn't see it!

Tired, irritable and cranky for a couple of days and then the day before I was serenely calm. I felt like I was happy to be pregnant for as long as I was going to be pregnant for, it was a nice feeling.
