Oh dear.. I would go back.. Not sure what they can do, but they need to know they did a crap job.. If you shower and scrub you will end up patchy, so I don't suggest doing that.. Maybe they can fix the uneven parts for you? That totally sux.
So I got my first ever spray tan last night as we are going to a ball/awards night for DH's work tonight and I had an op on my legs a few weeks ago that has still left some bruising and scarring. So I thought, well I will just get a spray tan to cover the marks and make my legs more presentable.Wrong idea!!!
I am quite olive skinned naturally and I told the beautician I didn't want to look orange so she only put a medium spray on me. Last night it looked ok, but this morning in natural light. I don't know what to do?! How can I reduce the look of it? Do I have a few showers and just exfoliate like mad and hope for the best? To make it worse one leg looks darker then the other!
What a disaster this is turning out to be! I was so looking forward to a night of dressing up, having a few drinks, staying in hotel with DH and best of all, sleeping in in the morning!!! What do I do????

Oh no! Is the colour wrong or is it the coverage? Can you go back and ask them to fix it? Can you wear stockings if they can't?
You can buy a fake tan remover at the chemist and the supermarket but it would be a pretty massive job to do your legs. I think it's more to get rid of little mistakes - I wash my hands with it after I tan so my nails don't get stained.
I would either go back and get them to fix it, or do you can any bronzer or shimmer that you can mix in with moisturiser? It will give your legs a glossy sheen (makes you sound like a racehorse)and the colour should look a little more even.
i have used hair removal cream in the past to lighten spray tans..
maybe try that
Have a shower and GENTLY exfoliate with a pair of loofah gloves. I can't emphasise GENTLY enough! I almost always look patchy after a spray tan and that helps a great deal![]()
sorry i did have a bit of a chuckle, i thought your title said help, i ATE my spray tan! i was thinking, now how does that happen??
glad i read it wrong
Haha Skybie, I also often misread titles, especially when in a hurry!
Thanks for all your advice ladies, I am starting to calm down a bit now, especially since a couple of the mums at school (who I really trust) said that it looks natural, like I normally do in summertime (I tan very easily). Phew.
I think I am more self conscious about it cause I have never had one before.
Besides the fact that one leg does look slightly darker then the other (but as my mum says no-one will notice in artificial light tonight) the actual coverage is pretty good, no streak marks or missed spots. I suppose it is more the depth/colour of it - I just feel super dark.
Beatrix - do you mean cover the area you want in the hair removal cream and then wash off as per normal? Cause I have some of that in my cupboard - could do it to the one leg I feel is a bit darker?
Thanks for all your advice ladies, I feel like a bit of a silly duffer!
If it is just your legs that look weird wear a pair of stockings with your dress and you won't need to worry about it. Sounds like a nice trip away!!
