I am new to the DSLR and Photoshop game. Currently I am just using PS Lightroom for photo editing as it seems fairly simple and user friendly, and I have achieved some good results so far.
I was wondering where people source their presets from? There doesn't seem to be a wide range with the standard Lightroom program.
Sorry Aimz, can't help you because I use Adobe Camera Raw + Photoshop. BUT I do like 'Oh So Posh Photography' on FB and saw a status update the other day saying she's busy making lightroom presets. Lots of ppl seem to love her actions so maybe worth a try. And also look up Olive Juice Shoppe on FB too, I think she does them.
I really know not very much about it. I studied photography as a post grad at uni for a semester and had my trusty film SLR when I did so and Photo Shop had only just been added to the curriculum. I really know nothing about editing photos. But I am having fun learning.
Just subbing in
ETA: I started using Lightroom because I follow this blog and I love her photos! She said in her FAQ that she uses Lightroom for editing and since Adobe do a month of free trials for all their software, I thought I would give it a go.
Before that, I was doing minor editing on Photoshop Elements (where I do most of my photobooks) but the workflow is so much better, quicker and easier with Lightroom.

She's a photographer JM. You can have a look at her blog (just google) and she often has lots of tips and tutorials. She also sells actions, etc. And interestingly, I've read her personal blog too and she is very much into gentle/attachment parenting so now I like her even more
Google is great to find some great photoshop tutorials, I have learnt so much that way.
I really like The coffeeshop blog she has some fantastic actions and she also has presents and they are all free.
I love reading blogs!!! I did find the Paint the Moon blog when I googled it but wasn't sure if that is what you were talking about. I do love her photos!
The coffeeshop blog also looks good. Thanks for sharing
