You can't bring fruit home either.
We're heading to Swan Hill, and I know I can't take fruit and veg up there, but what about bringing it home? If we buy our fruit and veg while we're there, do I have to then leave it behind at the end of the trip, or does the exclusion zone only come into effect heading into the region?
I'm trying to work out my shopping list and don't want to buy fruit and veg for our week when we get home, if I can bring it back with us.

- Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
This is off the exclusion zone site..
To be safe, do not bring fresh fruit or vegetables into the Fruit Fly Exclusion Zone and remember, you should not take any fruit or vegetables over state borders into New South Wales, South Australia or Victoria.
I spoke to a lady at DSE and she said that we can't take fruit and veg in, but we can take it out, no problems because we're staying on the Victorian side of the Murray at Swan Hill.
Tinks - I kept reading that paragraph too, but it didn't say anything about taking it home again. I figure that the fruit/veg trucks have to bring it down to us!
