    Bright PINK pout!

Just before I get started: pretty sure I'm addicted to shopping. Oh dear! I get an idea in my head, and literally lose sleep until I hunt down the *perfect* handbag/pair of shoes/bracelet/type of mascara/fragrance, etc etc etc.
This one's a lipstick question! I don't wear it often, but I do have a few favourites (mostly matte reds). And now that the weather's warming up, I'm coming out of my winter neutrals and searching for THE perfect Barbie-pink lipstick to complement dewy (erm, sweaty lol, nightclub dancefloors get pretty steamy!) skin and floral prints.
We only have small department stores and chemists here in town (Big W/Kmart, Chemist Warehouse/Terry White etc), so I will be checking out the regular drugstore brands (Maybelline, Rimmel etc) over the next few days, but if anybody has recently spotted a shocking, electric fuschia (preferably matte, but I will take any recommendations and see what suits!), let me know what brand (and shade name/number if possible) so I can check it out!

(If it helps any, I'm thinking something kinda like this) TIA!! xx

    Revlon Matte 011 Stormy Pink

    MAC Magenta lip pencil

    Chanel Rouge Allure 03 Provocative

    Nars Schiap

The Mac pencil and Chanel lippy combo is my fav flowed closely by the nars and revlon lippies, which are both matte.

Mac you can buy online at their store and Nars you can get from mecca cosmetica

The Chanel is a bright blue based pink but isn't matte, I like the magenta under it to give it more of a fuchsia vibe. The revlon is lighter and more "barbie" pink imo. The nars is brighter than the revlon.

You could also try the brand lime crime, just google it. They have bright colours, I've never used them personally but friends have raved about them.

Shall stalk this thread also, I have been after the perfect pink for years. My Aunty wears a killer lipstick and nail polish for that matter that are the best pink...I shall have to ask her. I've never been able to find the perfect one!!
FWIW I did find what looked perfect at witchery and it was called Fuschia but was all sold out when I got around to going to get some.
Did just google it and there's a pick on a blog of some Australis mineral lipstick in Flamenco for only $12.95 and it looks pretty good.

Glamourcide, love the pic you posted. Looks like it's on the purpley/magenta side of pink.

The Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick range is really good, very creamy so more of a demi-matte but won't dry your lips out. Tons of fabulous pinks.

I use MAC Girl About Town and NARS Schiap on clients all the time

I shop with a number of great discount cosmetics sites for work, so if anyone's interested PM and I'll send you the links.

A few years ago I use to shop at strawberrynet all the time but the last 2 things I've bought from them have clearly been fake.

One was from Mac and the other was Chanel, both products I had bought before in store and ordered a replacement from strawberrynet, a blind man could have seen they were fake.

Thanks so much for all the advice and tips, ladies! I can see me googling looooooonnnng into the night, and I'm meeting a friend up for coffee tomorrow morning (well, hopefully - was supposed to be today but things got away from her, hopefully tomorrow is less hectic!) so I might even drag her along on a shopping expedition hehehe Any excuse'll do - and now I have some great starting points to work from Thanks!

ETA: What a shame, TMS! I often come across that site when looking for good deals on perfume, I've never bought from there before but usually hear good reviews - thanks for the heads-up, there's nothing worse than forking out good money for a fake

If you sub to mamamia - check out her post just now - all about bright lips, some ACE photo gallery and suggestions. I love primped as well - Zoe Fosters site, I haven't ever really been fully into make up but over the last few weeks reading these 2 and hearing them chat I have realised I want to zuzz myself up a bit! I bought Benetint as a start for lovely red lips!

Thanks again, girls I am happy to report that my perfect pink lippie just arrived in the mail, and even without a full face on, I can tell it's going to look SPECTACULAR... and it's so cheap! After checking out all the suggestions from you ladies, looking online to compare swatches on makeup blogs, and getting more inspiration from celeb mags and galleries, I went for a NYX Matte lippie in Shocking Pink... and oh. my. goodness - it's so perfect! Exactly the Barbie-pink fluorescent shade I was dreaming of Scored it for under $10 on eBay and I will definitely be investing in a few tubes of it for that price. Thanks again for all your help, these suggestions definitely pointed me in the right direction
