My motivation to study is gone.

    Any hints?

My motivation to study is gone.

I'm studying my diploma in photography. Passed 4 out of 12 modules. Stuck on module 5. It's a self pacing course.

Does anyone have any hints of how I can get more motivated to get this study done?

    TIA xx

    No hints? Hmmm

All I can think of is setting a due date for this module maybe? But I've done that with another module and went past due date. Didn't really get me motivated.

    Still requiring hints lol

Is there a module up ahead that you are a little bit excited about getting to? Maybe keeping that module in your sights with the knowledge that you just have to power through this one to get to the exciting one? Or even the end goal on gaining your qualification in mind?

Just set mini goals, before you know it you'll be back into a more exciting topic

Do you get sidetracked by BB, or FB?

Maybe a ban on BB, for a week and see how much you get done?
If you FB on you phone, delete the app for a week too?!

I got my first 4 modules done whilst fb and bb were accessible too.

It's just a really boring module. I can't seem to get my head around it. Its complex and in the text there is a lot of un nescesary crap in there mixed in.

I can't skip ahead on the mods at all because you have to submit your assignment online before the next module is available to read. So I don't know what modules are ahead of me.

Will try setting a short term goal and go from there. Thanks ladies.

It can also help to set yourself a mini-reward of any other kind - kind of a get this module done and I can go have a massage or something else you find super enjoyable but don't do very often. And keep the promise to yourself.

    I am also un motivated.

I have 13 modules to do with a tonne of reading for each as well as a 3000 and 2000 word essays to start reseraching and start writing and I can't concentrate when I do have time to work on it!!!

    Hang in there

What is the module, as in, what is the task?

I would forget about the modules for the time being, and just get outside with the camera. Go for a walk around the block and take photos of random things that take your interest as you go. Do you have a park near your house? Take a book and your camera and a blanket and go and sit an chill in the park a while and just take some pics.
Perhaps it might stimulate your enthusiasm again. Usually works for me - when I am sick of studying or having trouble staying focussed, I will go and read another text book, that has nothing to do with the assignment and find that passion again.

    I rushed module 5 and got 8/10.

Onto half way module. Lighting which seems easier to grasp.
