So its been a while since school

How exactly should an essay be written... I know the way to write one , if that makes sense but I am having trouble explaining to DH how to do it himself, without me helping to word things for him.

DH has recently started a tafe course and his first assessment is an essay... The questions are pretty easy for him but he doesnt know how to structure the actual answer.....

I should know,

was a journalist but my brain is seriously not working... and I havent written anything for a long time

Generally:
Say what you're going to say (Intro)
Say it (Body)
Say what you said. (Conclusion)

So:
Introduction
Point 1
Point 2
Point 3
Conclusion

Each point should deal with part of the question.

This works for all forms of communication.

It is worth buying a book on how to write essays. Most Co-op bookshops have them.
