    Cheap meat?

I need to fill my freezer....Are there any places to buy bulk meat at reasonable prices in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne?

Aldi? We buy ours from there and we find it cheaper than anywhere.

(ive got no idea about where east melbourne is haha) but we go to knox wholesale meats - they have slabs of meat and we just cut it up ourselves - nice too!
we actually took our engle fridge down there a month or so ago and bought over $200 of meat, got about 5 rump slabs, an eye fillet slab, a porterhouse slab..

they have mince and lamb etc also..

There is one near us that is fantastic, off Westall road, is that near you? I will get the address from DH if it's worthwhile...
Other place is Springvale market, they have weird cuts and I don't buy their mince as I am a little suspicious, but good value, also the seafood is great...

pm Turkish delight or rouge for the address of their butcher. I can vouch for the quality of their meat and the prices are great.

When we were kids, we used to go to a farm and buy half a cow or something. It was cut up into various cuts and we stored in the deep freeze for months. I don't know if that is an option.

We go into the the Vic Market once a month. Also, living social has a deal at the moment for $99 of meat, valued $200 delivered.
