We're living in a rental home that has solid floordboards throughout....that have massive gaps in them. There are places where you can see the ground through the floor!
I've been hunting second hand places and am looking at getting either floating floorboards, vinyl or carpet to put down to stop the drafts.
The problem is the existing floorboards are incredibly uneven. Is there a product I could use to paint the floorboards with to try and level the floorboards out with before laying the chosen flooring choice?
Are you allowed to make such changes to a rental? I wouldn't think you'd be allowed to paint floorboards, or lay any floorboards on the existing floor in a rental property wihtout consulting with the owners.
The landlord lives on the same property and has given us the go ahead to do whatever we want to the place.....anything too costy come and talk to him first and he'll split the cost with us. :-)
