    Girls toilet training

    Howdy!
Today was THE day. We decided it was time for DD (2yeards and nearly 3 months) to toilet train.
She's LOVES going to the toilet, tells us when she's wet and dirty. She's waking up dry from her day sleeps.
So I'll be following loosely the 3 day potty training program.

DS trained when he was 3years and 3 months (I think) and he got it in 4 hours, day and night trained in 2 nights and #2's within 2 weeks. Not once has he gone backwards.
I've taken the nappies away and explained no more nappies. I have at least 20 pairs of undies, I have a whizz pad for the bed and several sets of sheets ready to go and I'm going 100% no nappies at all from now. Never ever again.

I've been told that 'generally' girls are trained earlier/are easier to train. Did you find this true for your situation?

I can't speak for myself as i've only just started with my DD1 who is 2.8yrs old and well lets just say, i think i might be in for the long haul!! - But my sister who has 3 boys and 1 girl said and all her boys weren't TT until about 3.5yrs (day/night) whereas her DD was trained day/night by 2.3yrs, so maybe it is true? either that or her DD watched all her big brothers doing it and didn't want to be left out

sorry, i'm not really much help but just thought I'd share

    Thanks Ladies.
We caught a wee in the toilet! She HATES the potty with a passion so is using the toilet seat with step (bambino red yellow and blue). She hopped on just before and said she's done a wee. Hubs said "no you haven't" and then she proceeded to prove him wrnog. She was so proud of herself too!
Here's hoping that there are many more of these over coming days and weeks.

    Just wanted to update...
She went to bed with undies on. Woke up at midnight and raced to the loo but just didn't get there in time ( so impressed that she woke with the full bladder sensation and knew what to do!!). She had an accident at 4am while asleep but was quite upset about it. She's not had another accident since and is loving wearing undies and going to the toilet. She's now decided most of the time she can go it alone. LOL

Will let you know how we have gone at the end of the weekend

    Wow that's great!!!

Again i'm not one with experience with girls TT as yet but my 2.5yr old has been running to the toilet and copying his brother. So for us showing signs wayyyy before DS1 did. Our problem is he's not wanting to sit on the toilet at all, i am going to try the potty and see if we have any luck there. I would love to have two out of nappies or close enough to it

All kind of irrelevant to your post but as a mother of a DS who didn't want to sit on the toilet until well after 3, girl or boy i'm impressed with your DD's efforts And mum's of course

    Thanks EJ!
    Today had been AMAZING!!
No accidents at all since 10am... all wees on the toilet.
Tonight she's even pooed on the toilet!!! She hadn't done anything since putting her first pair of undies on yesterday and tonight she did it! I'm so proud!!
I'm so confident that the nappies are now totally turfed. Goneski. Given to relos. She won't be touching one again.
I imagine the nights will take a few weeks at least... she can't get it all in one go, but I'm one very happy Mumma!

NO MORE NAPPY CHANGING!! yay!! haha

Just thought I'd update. DD has been amazing. Fully trained day and night in 8 days. I was shocked that she picked it up so easily. She has had 2 night accidents since then..... both times she was sooo tired after being out all day and night she just couldn't wake up, and I knew we'd have a few every so often. She takes herself to the loo all the time and doesn't even want the seat on it anymore.... she wants to use it exactly like Mum.

So it's fantastic. No more nappies at all. Love it. No more rashes lasting weeks and weeks on her bottom. Very very easy.

Come to my house and train my kids, ok?
(Yep, even the big one who is starting school next year who STILL has accidents.)
