Near 4 year old and problems with toileting

    I need advice pls
My DD is 4 at the end of this month and has been wearing undies through the day for a year or so and nappies at night. She has the occasional lapse when running to the toilet with wees but has never had dramas with poos. This last week has been horrific with 6 undies full of poo. I give her plenty of oppotunity to use the toilet and remind her often but it still results in her spoiling her undies. She gets to pick her undies and she is praised after using the toilet. She is bribed with rewards of all types but still dramas. She was a late bloomer to TT after a big house move and a new baby all at the same time, but she shows all signs of being ready.
Can someone please offer me some hints or tips to getting her back on track. TIA

I don't have any real advice but wanted to send you lots of hugs I have a 4 year old and he still we're nappies at night aswell and while he isn't doing poos in his undies he has started smearing poo all over the toilet walls evrytime he goes. Maybe it's a developmental thing to have a bit of a relapse.....not sure though?? Hopefully it passes soon I would just continue being consistent with the praise etc.sorry im not more help

Is she busy at the times she has had an accident?? I ask as my son has been TT both day & night now for 12months (he's 4.5yrs) and we've had a couple accidents over the past couple weeks. Not full poo, just will not tell me as he's too busy watching telly or off doing something and it's almost too late when he decides he needs to go. So it's not that he doesn't want to go he is just trying to hold on way too long.

I'm not sure what will help but I've taken a tough approach as he's been TT for some time now & is at kindy 3days a week & school next year. So I actually tell him it's not a good thing, he can't do this at school, that sort of thing......has worked thus far. Goodluck.

    Thanks for the hugs Shantelle

Erin - I think it is that she gets sidetracked most of the time but then she denies that shes doing anything and finishes it off in her undies. If I catch her doing it, we go straight to the toilet and tip the poo in and she sits and finishes it off but shes so independent that she doesnt hang around me for me to catch her often. I do tell her off and tell that its gross and not nice. I tell her that mummy does it in the toilet and so does all her friends and that she needs to keep her undies clean and pretty. Its so frustrating
