    UTI?

    Hi just wanting some advice....

dd2, who is 2yo goes to the toilet all day, every day! I thought it might be a phase, but shes starting to get quite upset about it all to the point shes in tears if she cant go because she feels like she needs to go.

Today I have started writing down how many times shes been. She got up around 630am and its now 330pm and shes been already 13 times! We had to go out and she went just as we were leaving and within 2 minutes of being in the car she needed to go again and got quite upset about it. At bed time shes up so may times to go because shes "got wees coming", so much so that the other night it took her 45 minutes until she was satisfied that i convinced her that she was empty and she went to bed upset.

Now I dont think she is in pain when she passes urine. On occassion she says she is a bit sore and a few weeks ago I had issues with both my girls having a strong smell, which I started a thread about. That seems to have passed. Her vagina doesnt look red.

She doesnt have a temp, she is grumpy and has been unusually tired over the past few days (not sure if thats a growth spurt or not).

I will be taking her to the GP for a check up, but what do you think???

It definitely sounds like worth having checked out. They of course will want a sample and hopefully have a testing kit on hand to give you an immediate result.
A UTI is like a pushing feeling and you want to keep going even if you don't have urine, you want to keep pushing. It doesn't necessarily involve a red vagina or yeast infection, it can be pure bladder/kidney infection only.
I hope the GP can get her sorted out

Thnks girls... so shes been about 18 times today. I think thats a lot of times. I just popped her in bed and she said she has a sore vagina. So I'll make an appointment to get her seen.

I took dd to the drs today and she got the all clear. He did a thorough check up on her and a urine test. She is a bit run down (she has a few mouth ulcers) but that is all. So we are, at this stage, thinking it is behavioural. Im hoping it will pass. He gae me another specimen container and said if she continues to keep doing this then to come back and he will test uroine again.

That must be a relief that it's not a UTI. I hope she settles down soon.
