Check out the Perisher freedom pass.
It's the cheapest skiing I've ever seen in Australia. You need to pay a deposit and lock it in for next year now but if you ski each year it's worth it.
I'm not usually into advertising for big companies but when a bargain like this comes along it's worth sharing.

ETA - I'm imagining that the marketing department of the resort next door is frantically trying to put something together to match it.

Oooh sounds good - we usually go to the Vic alps but if we are headed up for a week or 2 then it isn't that much further really to go to NSW.
