    Pooing distress

I'm sure this has been posted about a million times before
DD is on solids, but milk still accounts for 99% of nutrition. She goes a week or so between poos, but she's screaming. It's not hard or anything but obviously uncomfortable. Fissure? Constipation?

Maybe she is getting used to the different sensation? DS2 did the same, it improved a little around the 10month mark, but he does get constipated easily...

How old is your DD, MadB? I'd consider cutting the solids for a little while until her digestive tract gets a handle on things. She wouldn't be going that long between poos with solids going in, I wouldn't think. Bm alone, probably fine, but not with the solids.

There's a chance she's one of those babies whose system is taking a little longer to adjust. Alternatively, stay away from all of the most likely causes of constipation - bananas, potatoes, etc.

    She's nearly 9 months Jen.
She just feeds herself what she wants and she has so little. If I don't let her play she's going to be really, really, really mad.

If you have mint growing in your garden, you could make some mint tea for her to drink, that helps with digestion stewed pears are also pretty good for getting things soft. Prunes or their juice. Poor blossom. My ds1 stil hasw issues with pooping and how it feels

    Poor honey
My dd did go through something similar and I was giving her prune juice but one of my friends recommended whole prunes or plums so that she is getting the nutrition from the whole food. I now buy the golden circle whole plums, they come in a big tub where the canned fruits are and I just take the pip out and give them to her and she loves them. They are probably quite sugary, I don't give her the juice but it was either that or the prune juice or a bub in discomfort. They have really helped with her digestion. I also try to offer her sips of water in between meals and BF's. The plums and the water seem to do the trick. She poos every day now, whereas we were getting one or two poos a week and she was really farty and straining. Hope this helps. Good luck.
