Is he running a temperature? How have his nappies being? What about feeding?

Have you got a local 24 medical nearby or even a childrens hospital I would think they will see him quickly because of his age.

If he's got a stuffy nose it might be making it hard for him to breath and waking him up. This happened to my DS when he was young once. I got DH to hold him in the bathroom whilst I had a steaming hot shower to try and help clear his nose. That helped a bit, the steam.
I would also check his temperature, how many wet nappies has he had, how he is feeding (if he is turning his head a lot when feeding it could be oral thrush or an ear infection).

You might also find that he's just overtired, DS is a horror to settle when he's overtired. If he hasn't slept enough because of teething, or we've been out or a cold etc, he will get super overtired and be a nightmare (I lie down in bed with him and boob feed him to sleep in this situation, but not sure if you BF or not).

oh it sounds like hs'e probably ill. Poor little thing!
Do you have little fess spray & snot sucker? Humidifier also helps.

Seeing a doc is a good idea, though, can you take him somewhere tonight? Just in case If he has a fever at all definitely take him to ED

if there's any temperature etc, I'd be off to the Drs, or see if you can find a locum who will come to you.

if you don't think he's sick, just a little snuffly, jump into the shower with him, and help him clear his nose, then give him a massage while drying him, some skin to skin time to help him calm down, a nice long feed, and then see if he'll settle.

you can also elevate the head of the cot slightly, which can help with congestion.

thinking of you, hun ... it's rough!
