Would you ask a snoop to house sit?

If you know without a doubt they have gone through boxes/drawers when alone in your house (boxes piled in another room) even admitted to taking something out of an unmarked box to borrow. But you never made a fuss of it (was in far too much shock at the time to respond appropriately!)

Would you ask them to mind your house for a couple of weeks?

Not that I have really anything to hide, so to speak, but my personal stuff is just that, my personal stuff. Our personal stuff.

    Would you?

ETA Said snoop being a family member so the expectation is there that they would be asked.....

No way. That's a disrespectful violation of personal boundaries.

The fact that they think that's OK is disturbing but not something you could ever agree on - it's a values thing.

Maybe... My initial reaction was no... But you're obviously asking for a reason????

If I was to, I would probably tuck little notes away in my private drawers, boxes, whatever, with a friendly "I really appreciate you helping us out, but this drawer/box contains personal materials so please entertain yourself another way". Or I would pop some bits and peices in places to stir them up, you know a porn magazine here or there, maybe a dildo, accompanied by a little note "thought we'd make this a bit more entertaining for you".

Nope, no way. Even if you've got nothing to 'hide' as such, its still creepy to have someone looking through your stuff

No! But I would boobie trap everything like Audax said and then put in cameras as per mummenurse's suggestion to get a laugh if I absolutely had to.

No, I don't think I would but it is easy to say that in theory ...

Are you asking because you feel obligated to let the snoop housesit? Or desperate for a housesitter?

I guess, I think the same as Miss E ... you are asking for a reason so I was just wondering about it. Not that you have to share if you don't want to but there might be other solutions that you haven't thought about ...
