[VENT] So how bad was your night?

    Vent with me people!!

I have three kids who have been or are still terrible sleepers, but #3 is taking the cake. He is still waking 2hrly (3hrly occaisionally) for feeds at 8mths. I thought I had done it all in the sleep deprivation stakes, but this last week has been horrific! DH had been on night shifts, 6 in a row, meaning I had to get up to all 3 kids through the night. He will usually get up to the two older ones if they wake. A few nights I was up 10 times. Plus one night I was sick and still had to get up to the three of them. OMG, *yawn*
These past few nights DS2 has been waking hourly or more. He is teething and yesterday had immunisations, so isn't happy. And I can understand that, but my eyes are burning I am sooo tired. I don't think I have ever been so tired. I have to keep moving or I will fall asleep where I stand.
So have you had a horrendous night? Sometimes it helps to know you're not alone, lol!

the past 2 nights DD2 has been up almost hourly, not for anything in particular, she wakes crying i go into her, offer her a bottle in the lounge which she refuses, snuggles up to me and is asleep within minutes, try and move her back to bed and she screams. then last night she was spewing up mucous, joy!
And DD1 was having nightmares or something and screaming out that she wanted to go home a few times, so knackered today!!
DD2 sleeps through maybe once a week if im lucky, you're definetly not alone hun

Although I only have DS, he has me exhausted!! At 9 months he goes to bed at 6:30pm then is up at 10, 1, 3, 5, then 6:30. I am thankful that he has 2 day sleeps but dreading the day they stop!! lol

I never get home from work till at earliest, 11:30pm, and I struggle to get to sleep till at least 2am.. And then DS is up at 7-8am. He's so much of a better sleeper than he used to be, it's me that has the sleeping problems

2 hourly at 8 months... isn't that normal?
My older one only wakes ocasionally now and DH sees to him, so as far as I'm concerned he's a brilliant sleeper

Can you co sleep with bub? I do and it does give me that little bit of extra sleep not having to get up to him! And I have two other night wakers too. Though DD isn't bad, she will only wake maybe 3-4 times a week now, and DS1 still wakes at least 1-2 times a night.

I'm pretty sure you are NOT alone!
No I'm not alone! That's why I thought it might be nice for us horrifically sleepless parents to unite, lol!

LOL, yep, in my house it has been...for the last 4yrs or so anyway! I can't wait to get more than a 4hr stretch. I fee like it won't be until I'm 50 though!

Sitting here feeding DS2 isn't doing much for my tiredness!

My older one has finally gotten the hang of sleeping 8-6 without yelling for mum. Bliss.

Pity her lil bro is trying to see how insane he can drive me.

Close your eyes, just for a sec. The older two can't trash the house too much can they?

    Who am I kidding?!

3littlemonkeys - Yep, insomnia + pregnancy + night job + DS that doesn't usually like sleeping in after 7:30am after not finishing work until 11pm and home by 11:30pm = cranky mummy till she gets to nap at the same time as DS

Gosh, if I close my eyes for a second, they may never open again! Tis ok, DS2 is up and screaming again, no fear of me falling asleep any time soon....

We are there with you - DD1 is 5 and has a long term sleep allergy. We have gotten it down to one wake up and her crawling in with us. Then if #2 wakes we readjust beds..... Been a bad few weeks here and I am not too functional after 3pm. Ok when I am at home, not so hot at work. Big hugs to you all. xxx

I hear ya girl! Its hard yakka isn't it.

My biggest whinge at the moment is that I get up to DD at say 3am and get her back to sleep after half hour. I jump back into bed, get all warm and comfy under the doona and snuggle up to hubby and then...Hubby farts on my leg and starts snoring!!!

Last night I actually woke hubby up and told him off...its hard enough getting up every couple of hours but must you fart on my leg when I eventually get back into bed??? LOL

I aggree with OP...this too shall pass luv...it has to
