Summer babies... how to dress them?

Ok, so #3 is due in Feb and i've only had winter babies...
What are you supposed to dress a summer baby in?
Singlet nappy and a little onsie?
Can you swaddle them in a nice thin muslin wrap, or will they overheat?
Feel like a 1st time mumma all over again haha. Sorry for the silly question but would much appreciate some answers TIA

We just used a singlet and a nappy or a onsie. Sometimes if it was really hot just a nappy.
We swaddled our summer baby in muslin because he preferred being sweaty and wrapped and refused to sleep without a wrap no mater how hot it was.

Nappy and singlet or onesie here too. We also swaddled in muslin. Just be mindful of the sun when you go out.

so they don't need a singlet and onsie? Just the onsie or just the singlet will be fine?

Depends on the weather where you are - I'd sometimes start with both singlet and onesie for the cool of the morning, but if bub got too hot during the day off would come the onesie, or off with the singlet and continue with just the onesie...

DD did like her muslin wraps in the early days too.

I've never put a singlet and a onesie on my summer babe. I figure I wouldn't want a singlet on as well as a Tshirt.

We dressed our girls in a singlet romper or a short sleeved romper and their nappy. We wrapped them in thin breathable materials like cotton and bamboo (I think it was?)

When we have had super hot days it's just a nappy and we drape wet muslin wraps over them to help keep them cool if you are outside or in the car.

My friend told me that because newborns love being swaddled summer babies can still be swaddled and feel comforted if mamas use a really loose weave light bunnyrug in a natural fibre.

Another who used singlet or onsie and nappy or just a nappy. DD loved being swaddled so we used a muslin wrap. I'd completely unwrap her for feedings as she would get quite hot. We were glad we'd upgraded our a/c a couple of months before DD was born. Just make sure they aren't directly under any fans or anything (I think it interferes with them learning to regulate their own body temp or something).

Another possibly silly question, do summer bubs need to wear socks? Or will they be ok? Socks at bedtime? Gosh i feel like a goose
