    Question Electric Breast Pumps

    Hi all,

was wondering if anyone can recomend any good Electric Breast pumps. I had a few hassles with Breastfeeding Adam when he was born 4 years ago and would really like to try and breast feed longer then a couple of months. Can anyone recomend any brands have been looking at the Medela and Avent Brands.
    what do you think ???

    Many thanks

    Bec

Hi Bec. I used an Ameda Purely Yours double electric pump, but I was exclusively expressing, not feeding from the breast. With my third child who was BF, I used an Avent manual pump to express the odd feed and that was really good too.
Can I ask why you are thinkign you will need a pump? There are so many brands out there, and it can be a really individual thing - what works for one may not work for another, having said that, Medela has a great reputation, so does Ameda, my sister loved her Tommeetippee manual pump... Would it be an option to wait until bub is here & see what your needs are? as that will have a big effect on what pump you choose.

I love my Medella Swing but I only use it to increase supply or get a bottle of EBM in case I need to go out etc.

We have a baby product review section so maybe check that out to see if any of them have had replies too.
