Bali or Thailand hotel rec's, first time going OS with a small mite in tow!

so basically we are planning a trip for this time next year to either thailand or bali...

we have been to bali a few times so its leading the race at the moment, purely because we feel it might be easier to manage DD in a place we are familiar with rather than somewhere we arnt...

but on the other hand we are thinking maybe we would be better off seeing somewhere new....

either way hotel rec's would be great, and/or any other advice u have on travelling to either place with a approx 20month old

    TIA xx

Im heading to phuket in thailand in 2 weeks with my 8 month old, we are heading to Sunset Beach Resort which I chose mainly because of the price (I wanted a fairly cheap Junior Suite type room with a kitchen and separate seating area) and also the location, it is away from the main 'area' where all the partying goes on and just a walk down the hill to the beach. I haven't been to this hotel before, nor have I travelled with my DS before so all my fingers are crossed it goes off without a hitch. Hope that helps a little

I'm heading to Bali next week! DP and I aren't into the big touristy places so we're headed to Ubud. Touristy enough that they will speak some English (my memory I'd terrible so learning another language would be hard) but not so much that we have to deal with drunken bogans or creepy old white men with young Asian girls constantly.

We're staying at a place called Agung Khalia. It looks stunning and is so cheap! We're staying in a 3 level villa with a private pool and it's costing DP and I $80p/n (can't remember the full amount - we're going with another couple and their 3 kids). We found it by going to tripadvisor.com. It has nothing but amazing reviews. If you're not sure where you want to go, look up a few places there. That might help you decide.
