want a VBAC? go to IPSWICH!!!!

there is so much negative stance on obs and their views on VBAC, I wanted to post a thread to show there ARE places and Dr's who are supportive, especially as I am still on my high from yesterdays' appointment!

Saw my Ob, and I new we would be talking about my upcoming birth and was expected to hit a brick wall BUT he said "how do YOU want to have this baby?" I reply NATURALLY!!!! he said thats great! I ask him " how far will YOU let me go over" he replies " generally 42 weeks" I am stunned by this point, he then goes on to say " and at that point we can even give induction a go before we go the c section option" I was so happy! he was not fussed AT ALL! he also told me that I won't need continuous monitoring and could labour in the hospitals' birth pool and walk around with the PORTABLE monitor! so so happy! just when I thought I would be down and out (grade 2 placenta previa) which he was confident will resolve, will see next week at my scan, he really made my day and I just had to share, I feel no pressure at all! and I truly hope others out there in my situation can experience the same care I have been getting, and to think I was bummed about being transferred from the mater to ipswich (due to distance and my risks).
