    Question Laser hair removal

Tell me about laser hair removal!

The cost? How many times did you need to have it done for it to work? Any side effects? what did you have done? would you recommend it your family and friends?

Anything else you want to add?

I'm so sick of shaving and getting awful shaving rash and most the time i dont even remember to shave

    TIA

I went to a place in belco called...man... hangon i have to look it up.. Hairfree. They used a slightly different method to most other places and used different lazers (sorry it was over 18months ago when I went last so cant remember exactly). But I use to get my bikini and once i got under my arms. really helped in that rather than shaving once a week i didn't have to shave for like 3 etc.. so the hair still grew, but alot slower. and each treatment it lasted longer. the darker your hair and fairer skin the better the results you will get. umm from what i remember it was like $80 for down below, maybe $30 for underarms... (dont quote me though).

A couple of years ago I had my bikini and underarms done. I had about 6 treatments, $99 each. Initially it was good, the hair all fell out like it was supposed to, but it has since grown back. My pits are probably slightly less hairy but not a whole lot. My bikini is no different to before the laser.

I had 3-4 sessions on brazilian & underarms. Cost about $275 per session plus $75 for the little tube of Elna to numb the areas beforehand which would last 1-2 sessions.

Resulted in long term reduction, but not permanent removal. I couldn't afford to keep going back.

    I normally get waxed.

I had it done. Didn't do squat. I find waxing helps keep it at bay better (and it grows back finer each time)

I've had it done. 6 treatments removed about half the hair: I can now epilate my underarms and bikini line with confidence (and lack of blood/screaming/pain). The same results for my legs have taken 10 years of waxing, plucking and epilation to achieve. Hasn't changed my mustache too much though, which was a pity. Had it done 2yr-18m ago.

I would recommend it, it's quicker than other hair removal treatments and makes my epilating last longer (I do my underarms once a month, my legs once a week). No side-effects. But not completely effective.

Had my lower legs done. Probably about 5 treatments costing around $1800. Have fair skin and lots of dark hair. went to a few different people and I really think the results do vary. Not sure if it is the machine, the operator or at what stage your hair growth is at. My results were patchy ie. some areas no hair grows back and some are almost as hairy as what they were. However having said that, I do like the results as now I can wax myself once every 6 weeks or so and it is much easier. waxing myself before took too long and was too painful. so was exxy but probably worth it.
Also had lip done. The just can't seem to get the machine right on that bit in the middle so I still wax it but the rest is quite good. However there are still some stubborn hairs around and I would like to go get them zapped with electrolysis, but not many people seem to do that these days.
